Step 1

Faculty take steps to convert a current course into an affordable course by implementing low-cost materials. Materials can be sources from already listed medallion-awarded courses.

Step 2

Faculty submits a course with materials costing students no more than $20 in total out-of-pocket expenses per credit.

Step 3

A committee reviews the course and confirms the target price. If the course passes, faculty receives an ‘Affordability Counts’ medallion to display on their courses and are added to the low-cost course listing on our website.
